Roast My Visualization 1: National Laboratory of the Rockies, CO, United States of America; 2: IES Ltd., United States of America In this session, the audience will submit their visualizations, and a panel of visualization experts will dissect how it could be improved. The session will lead with a brief overview of what to expect – we call it a roast but the critique will be factual and phrased in a way that is not designed to be hurtful. We will provide prompts for aspects of visualization to consider, and lead with an example “roast” of a previously chosen visualization. From there, we will move on to audience submissions (or our own backup examples). For each visualization, we will discuss what is done well, and what could be improved. We will have submission roasts in front of the full audience for some volunteers, and move into small group roasts (facilitated by panel members) for those who don’t feel comfortable receiving feedback in front of a large group. All panel members will provide feedback, and the audience is encouraged to provide suggestions. If you're feeling brave, you can submit your visualizations here: https://forms.gle/1JdKqNmKgy1CfCfi9 | ||
