Sunday Sep.12 Preconference Workshops Program Topics: Treatment Innovation and the Future, Utility & Assessment Management, Regulatory Challenges, Resiliency, Planning, Climate Science Keywords: Organics, Diversion, Co-digestion Organics Diversion is Coming – from these Challenges come Opportunities - Virtual 1Brown and Caldwell; 2West Yost; , This workshop will discuss how landfill organics diversion regs/programs can lead to a push for more co-digestion at WWTPs and greater resource recovery. The workshop will cover status of organic diversion regulations in member states, co-digestion and biogas utilization program planning, greenhouse gas implications, and case studies for planning/executing co-digestion and biogas utilization projects. The target audience for this workshop will generally be utility managers and operations supervisors. Intended Agenda Includes:
Brief Biography and/or Qualifications
This workshop is proposed by the Residuals and Biosolids Committee and co-led by the Chair - Donnie Stallman. Donnie has worked for Brown and Caldwell for 9 years focusing on anaerobic digestion, biosolids planning, and renewable energy projects. Master's thesis at the University of Washington was on anaerobic digestion of food waste. |
