Acoustic-phonons in the GHz range appear as a suitable platform to study complex wave phenomena, to access the mechanical quantum regime, and to control other excitations, motivating the development of nanophononic devices. I will show how we can engineer optophononic 3D micropillar resonators and waveguides to manipulate coherent acoustic phonons
