Music Theory Examples from Artists with Disabilities: A Crowdsourcing Session In this session, the Committee on Disability and Accessibility invites attendees to build a database of music theory teaching examples by artists with disabilities. Following a brief introduction by the chair of the CDA and Austin Wilson (creator of the database), participants will split into groups, partners, or engage in solo efforts to curate examples to use in the music theory classroom. The committee will prepare a list of examples to analyze and categorize, including pieces with a score and those without formal notation. We also welcome additional examples. Attendees may benefit from having access to a preferred method of listening to music, annotating a score, and/or taking notes. We respect your right to engage with this crowdsourcing effort in whatever way makes sense for you. | ||
