Mentorship in Music Theory: Mentors and Mentees share their experiences Chair(s): Ji Yeon Lee (University of Houston); Aaron Carter-Enyi (Morehouse College) Discussant(s): Philip Ewell (CUNY Hunter College); Joseph Straus (CUNY Graduate Center); Jeremy Tatar (Carleton College) Participants of the CORE's mentorship program will share their experiences as mentors and mentees. Three leading scholars have been invited to provide their perspectives as mentors: Phil Ewell, Joseph Straus and Jeremy Tatar. Before the conference, the CORE co-chairs will extend an invitation to mentees who have participated in the program for at least six months to also reflect on their experiences. Our hope is to expand inter-institutional mentorship through SMT and also provide insights for SMT members at all stages of their careers.
