Internet Addiction And Procrastination In University Students In Lima: The Mediating Role Of Anxiety Universidad Privada del Norte - (PE), Perú The present research aimed to determine whether Internet addiction predicts academic procrastination when mediated by anxiety in college students. The thesis had a quantitative approach, basic, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and predictive level. The participants were 378 male and female university students ranging from 16 to 55 years old. The Internet Addiction Test, the Academic Procrastination Scale and the Trait-State Anxiety Inventory were used for this study. The results indicated that the Indirect Effect of anxiety on the relationship between the independent and dependent variable, obtained a confidence interval between .002 and .026, which is statistically significant. It was concluded that internet addiction predicts anxiety, encouraging college students to procrastinate. 8:38 - 8:46
Revolutionizing business education: The power of business simulations to enhance management skills in Peruvian students 1Universidad Privada del Norte - (PE), Perú; 2Universidad Católica de Trujillo - (PE) This research aims to demonstrate that the use of business simulations improves learning among business administration students at a Peruvian public university. The sample consisted of 50 students, and the study population was 30. This is an applied research study with a quantitative approach and a longitudinal pre-experimental design. Data were collected through a survey instrument, a 24-item questionnaire validated by expert judgment and Cronbach's alpha. The questionnaire was administered at two stages: before and after the treatment. The descriptive results showed that with the application of the simulator, the 50% of students who were at a low level of experiential learning decreased to 30%. In contrast, the 23.3% at the medium level increased to 43.3%, while the high level remained unchanged (26.7%). Regarding the inferential results, an increase in the mean experiential learning score (M = 21.2, SD = 5.4, p = 0.000) was obtained when using the business simulator. Similarly, a positive effect was observed between the experiential learning and business simulator variables. Finally, it was demonstrated that the use of business simulators improves learning among higher education students and is a key tool in management training. 8:46 - 8:54
Attitudinal dimension of environmental culture and social responsibility 1San Ignacio de Loyola - Escuela ISIL, Lima, Perú; 2Universidad de San Martín de Porres - (PE) This article investigates the university community's commitment to social responsibility and its relationship with environmental culture, a relevant topic given the growing need to integrate sustainable values into education. The main objective is to determine the relationship between the attitudinal dimension of environmental culture and social responsibility. To this end, a quantitative approach was adopted using a non-experimental cross-sectional and correlational design, applying a Likert scale questionnaire that allowed both variables to be measured concisely. The results reveal that 97.4% of students value university social responsibility initiatives positively, while 88.6% consider environmental culture acceptable and 92.1% show a favorable environmental attitude, suggesting a generally positive perception. In addition, the correlation analysis (p < 0.05; Rho = 0.382) confirms a significant, albeit low-intensity, relationship between the two variables. In conclusion, the study highlights that, although social responsibility policies are well received and promote positive environmental attitudes, there is still a need to explore additional factors that strengthen this relationship, providing a basis for future strategies that reinforce the integration of these values in the university community. 8:54 - 9:02
Emotional Stability and Self-Perception of Communicative Competence in High School Students from a Private Educational Institution, Nuevo Chimbote - 2025 1Universidad Tecnológica del Perú S.A.C. - (PE), Perú; 2Universidad Nacional Pedro Ruiz Gallo - (PE); 3Universidad César Vallejo - (PE); 4Universidad Nacional de Trujillo - (PE); 5IEP. Señor de la Vida - (PE) This study examines the relationship between emotional stability and the self-perception of communicative competence in high school students from a private educational institution in Nuevo Chimbote (2025), considering its relevance for academic and social development in demanding environments. The research followed a quantitative approach with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive-correlational design, using validated questionnaires administered to a sample of 140 third- and fourth-grade high school students selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The instruments assessed emotional stability (emotional control, stress management, and adaptability) and self-perceived communicative competence (oral expression, reading comprehension, and text composition), with data analyzed using SPSS v25 and Spearman's Rho test. Results revealed that 73.6% of students exhibited a moderate level of emotional stability, while a positive moderate correlation was identified between the two variables (Rho = 0.481, p = 0.000). Furthermore, the dimensions of communicative competence showed significant associations: oral expression (Rho = 0.466), reading comprehension (Rho = 0.300), and text composition (Rho = 0.308). These findings confirm that higher emotional stability is linked to a more favorable self-perception of communicative skills, underscoring the need to implement strategies that strengthen emotional management to optimize academic performance and social interaction in educational settings. 9:02 - 9:10
Scientific Trends in Maintenance Engineering: A Bibliometric Study for Strengthening Engineering Education and Innovation (2015-2025) 1Universidad Tecnológica del Perú S.A.C. - (PE), Perú; 2Universidad Nacional Experimental Politécnica Antonio José de Sucre. Barquisimeto, Venezuela. Between 2015 and May 2025, research in maintenance engineering experienced steady growth, driven by technological advances in Industry 4.0. This study presents a bibliometric analysis of scientific production indexed in Scopus, using the keywords: maintenance management, maintenance 4.0, and reliability—concepts linked to digital transformation in industrial contexts. An initial set of 4,715 documents was retrieved, including articles, conference papers, books, chapters, and reviews. After applying thematic filters, 3,613 documents were selected (70.6% of the total). Italy led the scientific output with 423 publications, with Politecnico di Milano as the top institution. In Latin America, the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (Brazil) was the most productive. The journal Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering (Germany) published 113 documents. “Industry 4.0” was the most frequent keyword, and Engineering was the main subject area. English dominated as the publication language, improving global visibility. The most cited article, Predictive Maintenance in the Industry 4.0: A Systematic Literature Review, received 746 citations. The most prolific author was C. Reich (Hochschule Furtwangen, Germany), with 14 publications. The results confirm a growing trend in research on smart maintenance, rising from 24 publications in 2015 to 230 in 2025, reflecting the importance of emerging technologies in enhancing industrial efficiency. | ||
