Its purpose is to establish design strategies that enhance the park’s functionality, promote environmental sustainability, and increase its value as a public space within the urban fabric. The research stems from the need to transform urban spaces in response to the unregulated expansion of cities, which has led to the reduction of green areas and the degradation of essential ecosystem services. The study emphasizes the importance of adopting approaches that prioritize energy efficiency, responsible use of materials, proper water management, circular economy practices, and green infrastructure. Additionally, it recognizes the crucial role of community participation and ecological connectivity in creating resilient and socially integrated urban environments. Sustainable mobility is also integrated into the proposed model. The analysis carried out revealed that these strategies are feasible for reversing the current deterioration of the park. Key proposals include the incorporation of native vegetation, clean energy technologies, rainwater harvesting systems, and alternative transportation methods. Ultimately, the study concludes that sustainable design enables the recovery of the park and its transformation into an inclusive, resilient, and environmentally balanced space. 17:18 - 17:26
Physicochemical evaluation of cereal and seed mixtures used as soft drinks in Central America Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras - (HN), Honduras The objective was to formulate and characterize cereal mixtures and seeds (Jícaro and cocoa) used as soft drinks in Central America. The methodology consisted in the concoction of formulations; these were subjected to a sensory evaluation to determine the one with the highest acceptability and preference, then the products were elaborated, determining the performance through the application of mass balances; the granulometry of each cereal mixture in a set of ASTM sieves and the nutritional characterization according to the Association of Official Agricultural Chemists (AOAC). The formulated mixtures presented high acceptability and preference by the evaluating panel. The granulometry results were 297.49 μm for the Jícaro seed, 227.74 μm for the Pinolillo, 222.84 μm for barley and 203.33 μm for the Policereal; Additionally, the Jícaro seed´s yield was 84.18%, for Pinolillo was 78.65%, for barley was 84.07% and for policereal was 85.44%. The nutritional characteristics determined by the AOAC methods, the Pinolillo complies with the provisions of the Nicaraguan Mandatory Technical Standard, and for the rest of the products their values were similar to other cited reports. The characterized cereal mixtures are fundamental in the food and nutrition of the Central American consumer. 17:26 - 17:34
PROTOTYPE OF A DEVICE FOR FIRE WARNING IN AGRICULTURAL AREAS IN PUNO - PERU Universidad Católica de Santa María - (PE), Perú In agricultural areas, early and effective fire detection is crucial to mitigate significant economic and environmental losses. In Peru, more than 2,000 forest fires were reported in 2020, affecting vast agricultural areas and causing considerable damage to local production and biodiversity. These statistics highlight the urgency of implementing advanced technologies for fire prevention and management in the country. This article presents an advanced agricultural fire detection system that uses solar energy and subway batteries to operate autonomously and sustainably. This system incorporates state-of-the-art smoke and fire detectors, audible alerts, and a camera with real-time transmission to a mobile application. In addition, it is crucial to gauge satisfaction and feedback on the prototype to ensure that it meets and needs of the users. 17:34 - 17:42
17:42 - 17:50
Spectrophotometric determination of azithromycin in tablets. An alternative method for application in the pharmaceutical industry 1Universidad Tecnológica del Perú S.A.C. - (PE), Perú; 2Centro de Investigación Kodama S.A.C. - (PE), Perú; 3Universidad Católica de Santa María de Arequipa - (PE) In the present research, a simple spectrophotometric method for quantifying azithromycin in tablets was validated. For this purpose, validation parameters established by the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) were evaluated. The results show that the method is linear with a coefficient of determination of 0.9995, precise with relative standard deviations ranging from 0.18% to 0.25%, and accurate with a recovery percentage of 97.75%. Likewise, four brands of azithromycin commonly sold in the city of Arequipa, Peru, were analyzed and found to comply with the uniformity of azithromycin content of 500 mg. In conclusion, the developed method could be considered by pharmaceutical laboratories, quality control laboratories, or universities to perform routine or educational tests to quantify azithromycin in tablets. 17:50 - 17:58
