Benefits of internationalization for medium-sized companies in the manufacturing sector UNIVERSIDAD TECNOLOGICA DEL PERU S.A.C., Perú The main purpose of the research was to determine the benefits offered by internationalization in the development of medium-sized companies in the manufacturing sector during the year 2024. To achieve this objective, a qualitative approach was used, such as a phenomenological design and a descriptive scope. Data collection was carried out through interviews with 5 experts in foreign trade and business internationalization, in order to understand, from their experiences and perspectives, how this process influences the performance of organizations. The findings show that internationalization, approached in a strategic and progressive manner, has a positive impact on multiple aspects of business performance. the experts emphasize that this process contributes to strengthening competitiveness, optimizing operations, accessing technologies and resources that are not available locally, and significantly expanding markets. through different mechanisms such as importing, exporting, investment or commercial implementation, companies are able to reduce costs, improve their international positioning and adapt more effectively to changing environments. it was concluded that internationalization is a fundamental way for the growth, transformation and sustainability of medium-sized manufacturing companies in Chimbote, enabling them to successfully face the challenges of the global economy. 9:48am - 9:56am
Corporate Governance and Sustainability: The European experience of profit companies and their potential in Latin American corporate law 1Universidad César Vallejo - (PE), Perú; 2Universidad Tecnológica del Perú S.A.C. - (PE); 3Universidad Nacional de San Cristóbal de Huamanga - (PE), Perú The study develops the experience of the regulation of benefit companies in the European experience, especially the Italian and French ones, to glimpse their possible incorporation into the law of Latin American companies. Using a qualitative and legal-comparative approach, standards such as società benefit, société à mission or the new European directives on sustainable sustainability are studied. The results of the work conclude that Europe has been able to legally incorporate sustainability into governance, while Latin America is characterized by a voluntarist, undemanding and rather declarative approach, it is concluded that the European model can be transferred to the region, although with its own institutional and cultural particularities, in order to be able to provide itself with a legal framework that guarantees sustainable entrepreneurship with a correct sufficiency of the Corporate responsibility. 9:56am - 10:04am
Hass avocado and profitability in the crisis: A critical look at Peruvian exports (2018–2022) UNIVERSIDAD TECNOLOGICA DEL PERU, Perú The objective of this research was to determine the main problems affecting the export performance of Hass avocado in Peru during the period 2018–2022. A qualitative approach with a non-experimental, descriptive design was used, based on documentary review and comparative analysis of official export records. The results revealed that, although the export volume grew steadily—reaching over 550,000 tons in 2021—this growth did not translate into increased profitability. Key issues identified include excessive dependence on fresh fruit formats (over 96% of exports), limited access to value-added markets, high logistical costs, lack of cold chain infrastructure, and strong concentration of export destinations in the Netherlands and the United States. Additionally, the seasonality of harvests caused oversupply during peak months, pushing international prices down. These limitations were especially critical for small agricultural enterprises, which face barriers to meeting international standards. The study concluded that the current export model is volume-centered and vulnerable to market fluctuations. 10:04am - 10:12am
IMPACTO DEL TLC ENTRE PERU Y COREA DEL SUR EN EL COMERCIO BILATERAL MEDIANTE EL MODELO DE GRAVEDAD Universidad Tecnológica del Perú S.A.C. - (PE), Perú This study assesses the impact of the Peru–South Korea Free Trade Agreement on the bilateral flows of both countries by employing a gravity model. It examines factors such as GDP, economic distance, tariffs, and population, evaluating their influence on trade exchanges. The analysis, based on bilateral trade data, shows that the treaty does not generate a significant impact, whereas GDP emerges as the main driver of trade. In contrast, economic distance stands out as a key structural barrier, linked to transport and logistics costs. The findings underscore the importance of complementary policies that address logistical and structural constraints, thereby fostering more effective commercial integration in distant economic and geographical contexts. 10:12am - 10:20am
International Innovation and Labor Management: Insights into Sales Productivity at EPSON Perú 1Universidad Privada del Norte - (PE); 2Universidad Norbert Wiener - (PE); 3Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú - (PE); 4Universidad César Vallejo - (PE), Perú; 5Universidad de San Martín de Porres - (PE) This interpretative research explores the relationship between labor competency management and sales productivity within the framework of international innovation and entrepreneurship. A longitudinal, analytical study was conducted at EPSON Perú, a transnational technology company, using a validated questionnaire administered to 120 sales promoters between 2020 and 2021. While no statistically significant association was found between productivity and core competency strategies—such as the Delta model, integrated customer solutions, or benefit-based competency frameworks—the analysis revealed meaningful patterns in subdimensions like comparative competency profiling and optimal information use. These insights suggest that, in international innovation-driven environments, productivity may depend more on adaptive and contextual management practices than on standardized competency models. The findings highlight the complexity of workforce productivity and underscore the need for dynamic and innovation-oriented human capital strategies in competitive global markets. 10:20am - 10:28am
KEY FACTORS FOR THE INTERNATIONALIZATION OF SMEs IN LATIN AMERICA, 2020-2025 1AGROINDUSTRIAS AIB, Perú; 2Universidad Nacional Pedro Ruiz Gallo - (PE); 3Universidad Privada del Norte - (PE) The objective of this research was to identify the key factors that influence the internationalization of SMEs in Latin America, through a systematic review between 2020 and 2025. The PRISMA method was applied, considering inclusion/exclusion criteria, whose initial search was carried out in five scientific databases: Scopus, WoS, Redalyc, Scielo and Google Scholar, obtaining a total of 1,097 records, eliminating 75 duplicate articles between the bases, 15 for not being eligible through automated tools, 882 studies for being different from what was searched and 10 additional articles for deviating from the analytical focus, reaching only 40 articles analyzed. The results highlighted that factors such as financial capabilities, innovation, managerial knowledge and digital transformation are the most influential, followed by the political-commercial environment, external barriers and network and alliance strategies. The discussion highlighted that internationalization does not depend on a single factor, but rather on a dynamic interaction between internal resources and environmental conditions. The conclusion is that Latin American SMEs that strengthen their innovation capacity, financial management, and strategic alliances are more likely to enter international markets, provided they have institutional support and favorable policies. 10:28am - 10:36am
Lean Warehousing para optimizar la gestión de almacenes en industrias manufactureras: Una Revisión Sistemática de Literatura Universidad Tecnologica de Perú - (PE), Perú Warehouse management in manufacturing industries faces operational challenges that impact logistics efficiency. Lean Warehousing has emerged as a strategy to reduce waste, improve material flow, and increase productivity. This systematic literature review aimed to analyze how the application of lean tools optimizes warehouse management in this sector. The PRISMA methodology was used with the PICO strategy to select 17 scientific articles published between 2011 and 2024. The studies were analyzed according to inclusion, exclusion, and methodological quality criteria. The results show that the most used tools were VSM and 5S/6S/7S, with positive impacts on indicators such as cycle time, lead time, NVA, and Process Cycle Efficiency. It was evidenced that Lean Warehousing can be implemented both in small companies and in automated organizations, provided there is alignment between tools, problems, and context. Moreover, it was observed that the proper selection of tools corresponds to the specific nature of the addressed logistical problems. In conclusion, the study contributes to the comparative analysis of recent evidence on Lean Warehousing and its application in manufacturing settings, and highlights the need to explore its integration with emerging technologies to expand its scope and sustainability in warehouse management. | ||
