Industry 4.0 and its Impact on Quality Management: A Systematic Literature Review from 2021-2024

Liney Osorio-Paredes, Milagros Isabel Rivas Mendoza, Geraldine Steffani Vilcherres Castillo, Dana Muriel Morales Marcelo, Johan Alexander Estrada Espinoza

Universidad Tecnologica de Perú - (PE), Perú

This systematic research aims to analyze the impact of using 4.0 technologies on quality management, as well as the tools of Industry 4.0 technologies in improving quality management. For this purpose, a systematic review of the scientific literature published between 2021 and 2024 in the Scopus database was conducted, identifying 20 relevant studies that met the determined eligibility criteria. The results show a positive impact between 4.0 technologies and quality management, with the potential to reduce the use of unnecessary energy and resources through the transmission of reports and the analysis of production operations using various technological trends studied in the reviewed articles. The proposed use of IT management tools includes the Internet of Things, Big Data, digital twins, blockchain, modal analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and smart factories. Additionally, some bibliometric indicators are presented: the journal where most articles on the subject are published is Sustainability, the year with the highest publication rate was 2022, and the author Wolniak with two publications. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of implementing 4.0 technologies to achieve successful quality management with a more sustainable and responsible approach to the entire process management.

This paper presents key findings from a research addressing the development of dashboards for KPI visualization in the context of RPA-based landscaping task assignment automation. The research adopted a mixed approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods to assess the effectiveness and impact of RPA and dashboard integration in landscaping task management. Relevant KPIs were identified, effective dashboards were designed and developed, and an RPA system was deployed in a test environment. Results indicate significant improvements in operational efficiency, task assignment accuracy, and real-time monitoring capability of automated process performance. Important conclusions are discussed and practical recommendations are offered for the application and continued optimization of this solution in real-world landscaping service management environments. This study contributes to the body of knowledge on the application of RPA and dashboards in operational process improvement and resource management optimization across various industries.

Let’s re-search. APIs and web-scraping: A technical note on the ResearchGate case

Mathías Haas, Fabricio Zanzzi

Escuela Superior Politécnica Del Litoral - ESPOL - (EC), Ecuador

Contemporary research needs a comprehensive foundation of concepts, theories, and data. Consequently, traditional methods of manual searching and file retrieval are no longer adequate. Automation of these processes is essential. In this technical note, we outline some challenges and propose a solution specifically tailored to the ResearchGate case

Knowledge of E-commerce Among Artisan Entrepreneurs in a Historic Peruvian Resort Town

Alfaro Nolasco Brandon Luis Humberto, Alvarado Honorio Sofía Cosett, Andreu Rodríguez Paulo César, Gaitán Acedo José Miguel, Llico Llanos Erick Robert, Montañez Vega Mariela Ingrid, Segundo Eloy Soto Abanto

Universidad César Vallejo - (PE), Perú

This research aims to determine the level of e-commerce knowledge among artisan entrepreneurs in a historic Peruvian resort town. The study was basic in nature, employing a non-experimental, cross-sectional design with exploratory-descriptive scope. The entire population, consisting of 40 artisans, was surveyed using questionnaires with internal consistency verified by Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. The findings revealed that the transactional dimension showed a medium level of knowledge among most artisans, while the political and technological dimensions were found to be at a low level. It was concluded that the artisan entrepreneurs in the resort town demonstrated a low overall level of e-commerce knowledge, though specific criteria for improvement were identified in detail.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized Industry 4.0 in its different fields, and the graphic design sector is not exempt. However, despite the advances and research on the application of this technology in art, its use in students is still limited, obstructing their learning focused on mastering AI tools and, therefore, increasing efficiency and productivity in work or institutional environments. The present systematic review aims to describe the effectiveness of different applications of Artificial Intelligence to increase productivity in the graphic designer. For this purpose, publications were collected through the Scopus database and the records were filtered with the help of the PRISMA protocol. Thirteen articles based on the implementation of AI in different areas of graphic design for the solution of specific problems were examined. The review revealed that the application of AI increases inspiration in graphic designers, a capacity that plays an important role in productivity because it is intrinsically linked to the speed with which the creative process is carried out. Furthermore, despite the absence of research with a previous analysis of the causes of inefficiency in graphic designers, design fixation was highlighted as the most predominant and detrimental.

Optimización de la Gestión de Proyectos Freelance a través de Prácticas Ágiles: Una Revisión Sistemática de Literatura

Maira Martinez Hancco, Antonio Jose Obregón La Rosa, Rebeca Salvador-Reyes
