Cyntia Ccallo Rodriguez, David Villena-Reyes, Rebeca Salvador-Reyes

Logistics Management for Service Quality in a company in the gastronomic sector

ELIZABETH KRISTINA BRAVO HUIVIN, Patricio Federico Lewis Zuñiga, Veronica Margarita Trillo Espinoza, Luis Vargas Espinoza, ANGEL ROLAND UGARTE CONCHA, Beth Evelyn Cárdenas Núñez

Universidad Católica de Santa María de Arequipa - (PE)

The research studied the relationship between logistics management and service quality in an SME in the Gastronomic Sector of the city of Trujillo in the year 2023. Specific objectives are established to evaluate different aspects of logistics management and its elevation with service quality. The research is classified as applied and uses a quantitative approach. A non-experimental and correlational transectional design was adopted to examine the interrelationships between variables without influencing their modification. The findings revealed a significant correlation (coefficient of 0.822) between logistics management and service quality, suggesting a direct relationship: improvements in logistics management lead to an improvement in service quality. It was concluded that the level of logistics management and quality of service varies between good and average. Furthermore, moderate to high relationships were identified between logistics management and several aspects of service quality, such as tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, security, and empathy. The costs of implementing improvements in logistics management were estimated to improve the quality of service, as well as the social and environmental impact was evaluated, highlighting both economic and resource savings due to more efficient logistics management.

The objective of this research is to demonstrate, through the implementation of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System based on the ISO 45001:2018 Standard, the reduction of occupational accidents in the company Prosel Ingeniería SAC. This is because, in this organization, which provides electrical and civil services on both public and private roads; A high accident rate has been evident during their work days. Therefore, the applied experimental methodology has been used, through the use of descriptive and inferential statistics for the interpretation of data and validation of the general and specific hypothesis. Likewise, after performing the Shapiro Wilk Test, to analyze the data obtained from the 16 accident records, whose significance value was less than 0.05, the Wilcoxon test was used to determine the validity of our hypotheses, obtaining significance values. less than its parameter 0.05, concluding the validity of the initially proposed hypothesis. This is how, after carrying out a baseline diagnosis and comparing it with the implementation of the ISO 45001:2018 Standard, an average decrease of 90.64% in the accident frequency rate and a 73.85% decrease in the accident severity index was obtained. work accidents.

Exploratory Factor Analysis of Critical Drivers for New Product Development in the Context of Dynamic Nanostore

Cesar H Ortega-Jimenez1, José Rodolfo Sorto-Bueso2, Narciso A Melgar Martínez1

1Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras - (HN), Honduras; 2Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana - UNITEC - (HN)

This study investigates the factors that influence New Product Development (NPD) in the dynamic context of nanostores in Honduras. Through an exploratory factor analysis based on a survey of 143 nanostores, four key factors in NPD practices were identified: Employee Involvement, Environment, Team Recognition, and Customer and Supplier Involvement. These factors explain 55% of the total variance in product development practices. The main purpose of the paper is to understand the determinants of NPD in this specific environment, providing an enriched view of industry practices and challenges. The findings offer valuable practical implications for nanostore managers, who can use these insights to optimize their product development strategies. Theoretically, the study expands the understanding of NPD practices in unique retail environments and demonstrates the effectiveness of exploratory factor analysis in identifying key factors. In addition, the paper contributes to the discussion on retail innovation by providing a novel and meaningful perspective on new product development in Honduran nano-stores.

The growing interest in the preservation and care of the environment has motivated the development of biodegradable packaging from agroindustrial waste. The rice milling process generates considerable lignocellulosic waste such as husk that can be used for the development of biodegradable packaging. This research focuses on the use of rice husk, corn starch and rice starch as raw materials for the manufacture of biodegradable packaging. The objective is to identify the optimal percentages of raw material concentration for the development of the packaging. To do this, a mixture design was developed with the Statistica software and the resistance of the three types of biodegradable packaging mixtures was measured. Studies are mentioned that evaluate and examine the key factors to consider when manufacturing and marketing biodegradable containers made from natural fibers, such as corn husk or fruit waste, evaluating the environmental, economic and social impact of the consumption of these containers, as well as as the level of consumer acceptance. It is concluded that the optimal mixture for the development of the biodegradable packaging is that it contains 74.17619% of rice husk, 4.06859% of corn starch and 21.75521%. These wastes can be used sustainably, which would reduce their environmental impact and create economic opportunities.
