Innovative Use of Fog Catchers to Mitigate Water Stress and Promote Sustainable Agriculture Universidad Privada del Norte - (PE), Perú The research aimed to evaluate the implementation of a fog catcher system that guarantees the quality of the captured water, ensuring its compliance with the established standards, for which a fog catcher was installed using polyethylene Raschel mesh, designed to capture water from fog. and predominant fogs in the area, specifically in the El Verde population center, in the Cajamarca region, Peru. This system demonstrated outstanding efficiency during the rainy season, capturing 140.15 liters in 16 days, with daily productions of 5.3 to 16.4 liters, it was also evaluated in the dry season, collecting 73.7 liters in the same period, with daily productions of 1.8 to 7.9 liters. The analyzes of captured atmospheric water show that the physicochemical parameters meet the values of the water quality standards for category 3, suitable for irrigation and animal drinking, without risks to health or the environment. Based on these results, the feasibility of the fog catcher is concluded as a promising technology for the sustainable management of water resources in arid and semi-arid regions, essential to support local agriculture and community well-being. 9:48am - 9:56am
9:56am - 10:04am
Innovative system for monitoring health indicators with virtual assistance for elderly people with visual limitations Universidad Nacional del Callao, Perú The objective of the study was to develop a vital signs alert and monitoring system with virtual assistance, to improve the care provided to older people with visual disabilities. The methodology used in the research consisted of the application of the applied method, with an experimental design and a quantitative approach. The population studied is in the constitutional province of Callao and consisted of a group of 10 older adults with visual disabilities. Information was collected from the instruments used in data collection. Among the positive results obtained, the voluntary participation of 10 older adults with visual disabilities in a test of the prototype of the vital signs monitoring system with virtual assistance stands out. The average score achieved in this evaluation is 4.9, which indicates that our approval rate is 81.7%. It has been concluded that the design contributes to improving the care provided to older adults with visual disabilities. 10:04am - 10:12am
Comparison of Polyethylene Terephthalate and Fly Ash as an additive in Concrete Universidad Privada del Norte - (PE), Perú The problem of searching for ecological and economic additives exists in various parts of the world. Visualizing the need for this problem, it is necessary to opt for various alternatives in buildings that help us promote the comparison of two additives, which are polyethylene terephthalate and fly ash. , as a replacement option without altering its composition in a negative way, defining the points that could serve as a reduction in costs, improvement of the properties of the concrete and in this way, showing its favorable results by comparing them for the use of these same adding to the concrete giving a viable option in both works and construction, also taking care of the environment. In section I, a summary of the various scientific articles is made demonstrating the viability of these additives in concrete from the point of view of the authors cited later. Section II details the filters used to select the articles. Section III details the different results obtained from the information collected, showing several tests carried out by the authors and the times they took for each test. 10:12am - 10:20am
Innovative activities and innovation of Paraguayan companies Universidad Espíritu Santo - (EC), Ecuador This research examines the relationship between innovative activities and product and process innovation in Paraguayan companies. It is a quantitative, cross-sectional design. It uses data from the Paraguayan national innovation survey, with 555 companies. The results show that product innovation is positively related to internal research and development and the acquisition of machinery and equipment, the acquisition of hardware, the acquisition of off-grid technology, engineering and industrial design, while process innovation is positively related to the acquisition of machinery and equipment, engineering and industrial design, and staff training. This research has theoretical implications because it shows market-based strategies in developing R&D and technology acquisition to achieve product innovation, and strategies based on technology acquisition and staff training to achieve process innovation. The research has practical implications for business managers and administrators and for designers of public policies to support businesses. |
