Application of the SLP methodology and ABC classification to increase inventory turnover in a commercial company,2025 Universidad Privada del Norte - (PE), Perú The improvement proposal allowed for the reorganization of warehouse space, while also identifying the products with the highest value and frequency of movement. As a result, inventory turnover increased by 4.4, from 19 to 23.4 times, demonstrating a significant improvement in logistics management and resource utilization. Financially, the proposal proved its viability by obtaining a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/ 850,453.20 and a Benefit/Cost ratio of 50.02. Likewise, the statistical results, validated by Student's t-test, confirmed a significant increase in inventory turnover, from 19.3 to 23.5 times per year, with a weekly average that increased from 0.3743 to 0.4509 (p < 0.05). These results prove that the application of the SLP methodology and ABC classification have a positive influence on the company under study.

Gaps in Labor Income in Peru: An Explanatory Study from Labor Formality and Human Capital 1Universidad César Vallejo - (PE), Perú; 2Universidad Nacional de Piura - (PE) How do labor formality and human capital explain the persistent gaps in labor income across the Peruvian workforce? Drawing on individual-level data from a nationally representative survey, this study adopts a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional design with an explanatory scope. Multiple regression analysis is employed to evaluate the predictive capacity of two core independent variables labor formality and human capital over monthly labor earnings, while controlling for gender, economic sector, age, and geographic region. Findings indicate that both formal employment status and higher educational levels are positively associated with increased labor income, whereas informality compounds the disadvantage of limited schooling. The full model explains 68.9 % of income variance, with formality and applied skills training emerging as the strongest predictors. The results provide empirical grounds for targeted workforce policies that address the structural determinants of income inequality in emerging labor markets. 9:16am - 9:24am
Mapping Technology Transfer Networks in the Agroindustry: A Social Network Analysis of Peru, Colombia, and Mexico Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú - (PE), Perú Technology transfer within the agroindustry is essential for improving productivity, sustainability, and competitiveness, particularly in emerging economies. In Latin America, collaborative networks linking researchers, institutions, and countries serve as primary channels for disseminating innovations and fostering inclusive development. This study applies Social Network Analysis (SNA) to examine citation networks in agroindustry-related research from Peru, Colombia, and Mexico. Three interconnected layers---authors, organizations, and countries---were analyzed using metrics including degree centrality, betweenness centrality, clustering coefficient, and network diameter. The results identify highly cited actors, key institutional hubs, and leading countries in knowledge dissemination, alongside cohesive clusters and bridging entities. The findings highlight both opportunities and structural gaps in regional collaboration, offering insights for strengthening strategic alliances, guiding funding policies, and promoting balanced participation in innovation systems. This network-based evidence provides a basis for decision-making by policymakers, researchers, and industry stakeholders seeking to enhance technology transfer in the agroindustrial sector. 9:24am - 9:32am
Technological and Cognitive Factors Explaining Mobile Banking Use Among Older Adults, Piura 2026 1Universidad César Vallejo - (PE), Perú; 2Universidad Nacional de Piura - (PE) Despite the global expansion of mobile banking, older adults remain largely excluded from digital financial services, particularly in intermediate cities of developing countries. This study set out to identify which technological and cognitive factors drive mobile banking adoption among older adults in Piura, Peru. Drawing on the extended Technology Acceptance Model and UTAUT2, a quantitative, cross-sectional, explanatory design was implemented. A probabilistic sample of 384 adults aged 60 and over completed a 24-item Likert-scale questionnaire covering accessibility, usability, perceived security, digital self-efficacy, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use. Four hierarchical regression models were estimated, controlling for age, education, and prior digital experience. Technological factors alone accounted for 44.1 % of the variance in mobile banking use (R² = .441), cognitive factors for 39.9 % (R² = .399), and the integrated model for 56.2 % (R² = .562). When sociodemographic controls were added, R² reached .599. Usability (β = .333), digital self-efficacy (β = .208), and perceived security (β = .188) emerged as the strongest predictors, while accessibility lost significance in the full model. These findings offer actionable evidence for financial institutions and policymakers seeking to reduce the digital divide among older populations in Latin American cities 9:32am - 9:40am
Integration of Design Thinking and Lean Startup for the development of a cocoa flan-type powdered mix based on cushuro UNIVERSIDAD PRIVADA DEL NORTE, Perú Innovation in functional food products requires methodologies that integrate a user-centered approach with early validation processes. This study aims to integrate the Design Thinking and Lean Startup methodologies for the development of a cocoa flan based on cushuro, aimed at consumers seeking healthy and easy-to-prepare desserts. The methodology was developed under a quantitative and descriptive approach, using a pre-experimental design, in which surveys and sensory evaluations were applied to a pilot group of users, following the Build–Measure–Learn cycle. The results showed favorable acceptance of the Minimum Viable Product, with progressive improvements in flavor, texture, and presentation, as well as a repurchase intention exceeding 70%. As a contribution, the study demonstrates the applicability of integrating both methodologies in food innovation and the viability of cushuro as a revalorized functional ingredient through a systematic, user-centered process. 9:40am - 9:48am
Critical factors in the export reactivation of Kent mango in an agricultural firm Universidad Tecnológica del Perú UTP - (PE), Perú This research aimed to determine the critical factors for the export reactivation of Kent mango in a company in Piura. Methodologically, a mixed approach with a non-experimental cross-sectional design was used, evaluating the 25 collaborators who participated in previous export campaigns through the application of structured questionnaires and an interview. Quantitative results revealed notable strengths in cold management and regulatory compliance, contrasting with severe deficiencies in logistics transport and a lack of participation in external financing. Qualitatively, a conservative financial management style and the requirement for reliable commercial conditions were confirmed. Finally, it is concluded that successful reactivation depends on capitalizing on operational experience in quality, correcting the selection of logistics partners, and adopting financial leverage strategies to mitigate risks and ensure sustainability. | ||
