Optimization of the operations of a paint production plant applying 5S, Poka Yoke 4.0 and TPM Universidad de Lima - (PE), Perú Manufacturing SMEs show that unplanned production line stoppages, technical failures, and workplace disorder reduce operational reliability and limit productivity, highlighting the need to apply methodologies that stabilize operations and reduce errors. Operational variability, mechanical failures, and lack of standardization were addressed through a Lean approach integrating 5S to organize and standardize the work area, TPM to increase mean time between failures, and a sensor-based Poka Yoke system designed to prevent input shortages during the injection process. The results were validated through a hybrid model, with on-site implementation of 5S, a laboratory pilot for the digital Poka Yoke system, and an Arena simulation for TPM and the integrated model, respectively. The optimization showed an increase in productivity from 45.75 to 59.77 units per man-hour, mean time between failures increased by 24.87%, unproductive time was reduced by 70.55%, and the 5S index improved by 28%. These findings demonstrate that integrating Lean methodologies with accessible solutions constitutes a viable strategy to increase productivity, reduce variability, and enhance operational reliability in resource-constrained SMEs. 2:08pm - 2:16pm
EQUITY AND GENDER EQUALITY: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW FROM A MULTISECTORAL PERSPECTIVE IN LATIN AMERICA Universidad Privada del Norte - (PE), Perú This systematic review analyzes the state of the art on gender equity and equality in Latin America from a multisectoral perspective. Based on the analysis of 37 scientific articles, conceptual differences between equity and equality were identified, emphasizing that equity is associated with corrective justice, while equality refers to equal rights. The study highlights that education, health, and labor are the sectors with the most developed gender policies. However, limitations such as lack of funding, intersectoral articulation, and impact evaluation persist. The review concludes that equity should be seen as the process required to achieve substantive equality in contexts marked by structural inequalities. 2:16pm - 2:24pm
Corporate approach in state entities, mapping and triangulation 1Universidad César Vallejo - (PE), Perú; 2Universidad Autónoma del Perú - (PE) The corporate approach is usually associated with private companies, and this is most logical because it is based on the law of commercial companies, even more so with the development of concepts such as corporate governance, arbitration where public entities and national states participate in it. Likewise, with the development of the systems theory, where each of the components of an organization are interconnected, and the systemic approach, where this organization is interconnected with other organizations in its environment, it is necessary to rethink how state entities and companies can have a corporate approach. For this purpose, a qualitative study is required, making it necessary to carry out a mapping and triangulation to interpret and explain why these entities require this approach. The inductive method, observation, documentary and interview techniques will be used. Heuristics will be applied to propose an algorithm that defines the corporate approach, both in the private and state fields. 2:24pm - 2:32pm
Impact of Public Insecurity on Business Development and Management in the Callao Region 1Universidad Nacional del Callao - (PE); 2Universidad Nacional de Educación Enrique Guzmán y Valle - (PE); 3Universidad Privada del Norte - (PE), Perú The final report, “Impact of Citizen Insecurity on Business Development and Management in the Callao Region”, uses a descriptive quantitative -correlational and non-experimental (transversal design) approach, how citizen insecurity negatively affects the local business environment, focusing on 130 entrepreneurs and managers of SMEs in districts such as Callao and Ventanilla during 2025; The study is based on a problematic approach that highlights the high perception of insecurity (96 % of respondents agree that it has recently increased, with Likert averages above 4.25), direct victimization by theft (94 %), extortion, and vandalism, generating direct impacts such as reduced hours and sales (97 %), cash flow losses (100 %), increased operating costs for private security and insurance (93 % allocate ¿10 % of expenses), lower investment (97 %), talent drain, and deterioration of competitiveness, confirming the general hypothesis through inferential analyses (negative Spearman correlations -0.65) and descriptive analyses presented in 30 tables and 29 figures; the methodology includes expert-validated surveys (validity index 72 %, Cronbach 0.70), intentional non-probabilistic sampling, and statistical processing, proposing as conclusions the need for comprehensive public-private strategies and recommendations such as targeted patrolling, subsidies for SMEs, and community surveillance networks to mitigate effects and promote sustainable economic growth. 2:32pm - 2:40pm
Efficiency of the Public Procurement Cycle: A Quantitative Analysis of Supply Processes Universidad César Vallejo - (PE), Perú This study analyzes the efficiency of the public procurement cycle through quantitative indicators of supply processes in Peru. Using administrative records from the electronic procurement system (SEACE), temporal, operational, and financial efficiency dimensions are characterized. The descriptive approach using secondary data addresses a gap in the Latin American literature on the systematic quantification of procurement cycle performance. Results contribute to understanding the public supply system functioning, aligned with Sustainable Development Goals 12 and 16. 2:40pm - 2:48pm
Artificial Intelligence in the Design and Evaluation of International Sales Contracts: Evidence from Honduran SMEs, 2025 1Universidad Tecnológica de Honduras (HN), Honduras; 2Universidad Tecnológica de Honduras (HN), Honduras Abstract– This research was conducted with the purpose of identifying the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the design and evaluation of international sales contracts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution methods (ADR). It was carried out in the context of Honduran micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in 2025, which engage in both domestic and international trade operations. A quantitative, non-experimental, correlational methodological design was employed, using a 30-question survey validated by expert judgment and applied to a sample of 77 participants from key areas such as management, information technology, procurement, and legal advisory. The Cronbach’s alpha was .0952, which is considered an acceptable reliability indicator. The results show a positive relationship between international contracts and ADR (rs = .596**), along with statistical dependence according to the Chi-square test. However, 95% (73) of respondents reported not using AI to design or evaluate contracts and their respective clauses, although they acknowledged that other companies might be doing so. The Binomial proportion test in IBM SPSS version 27 confirmed that this difference is statistically significant (p < .001). Therefore, although AI adoption is limited or its use remains very low, its future incorporation could strengthen legal certainty and the confidence of Honduran MSEs engaged in international trade operations. Keywords-- Artificial Intelligence, dispute resolution, effective judicial protection, legal certainty, microenterprises. | ||
