Motivation to Lead and Entrepreneurial Intention among University Students: The Mediating Role of Individual Entrepreneurial Orientation 1Universidad Católica Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo - (PE); 2Universidad Tecnológica del Perú UTP - (PE); 3Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego - (PE) Abstract– The study aimed to analyze the effect of motivation to lead on entrepreneurial intention, considering the mediating role of individual entrepreneurial orientation, among university students in Lambayeque (Peru). The research scope was explanatory, and a PLS-SEM model was estimated using a convenience sample of 438 students (2025-II semester). The reflective constructs were measured with an adapted 24-item questionnaire (5-point Likert scale), and reliability, convergent and discriminant validity (HTMT), as well as collinearity (VIF), were assessed. The results showed adequate psychometric quality (loadings = 0.705–0.842; α = 0.907–0.922; AVE = 0.607–0.647) and considerable explanatory power (R² = 0.589 for individual entrepreneurial orientation; R² = 0.663 for entrepreneurial intention). Positive and significant effects were confirmed: motivation to lead → individual entrepreneurial orientation (β = 0.767; p < 0.001), individual entrepreneurial orientation → entrepreneurial intention (β = 0.479; p < 0.001), and motivation to lead → entrepreneurial intention (β = 0.386; p < 0.001), along with a complementary partial mediation (indirect β = 0.368; p < 0.001). It was concluded that motivation to lead operated as a key antecedent of entrepreneurial dispositions and intention. It was recommended to strengthen university programs that integrate leadership for innovation, experiential learning, mentoring/incubation, and access to networks and seed capital. 10:28am - 10:36am
Brooklyn optician-type negotiation strategies and pricing in the aesthetics sector, Comas, 2025 Universidad César Vallejo - (PE), Perú The present research aimed to determine the relationship between Brooklyn optician-type negotiation strategies and pricing, contributing to SDG No. 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. The study was applied, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, correlational level, and hypothetical-deductive method. The population consisted of 3,000 clients in the sector, with a sample of 100 participants selected by convenience. The results, obtained through Spearman's Rho coefficient, showed a medium positive correlation between Brooklyn optician-type negotiation strategies and pricing (ρ = 0.647; p = 0.000). Significant correlations were also found between the clarity of the base price and the cost structure (ρ = 0.625), optional add-ons and competitive analysis (ρ = 0.445), and the influence on the decision with customer perception (ρ = 0.649). It was concluded that negotiation strategies based on transparency, empathy, and perceived value strengthen competitiveness, optimize pricing, and improve consumer confidence in the aesthetics sector. 10:36am - 10:44am
Promoting STEM Entrepreneurship with a Gender Focus: Systematization of an Intervention Based on Maker Education 1Universidad Bolivariana del Ecuador, Ecuador; 2Centro de Emprendimiento, Empleabilidad y Empresas CE3 (UBE); 3Universidad de La Guajira; 4Institución Universitaria Ceipa - Colômbia This article presents the results of a practical workshop aimed at reducing the gender gap in STEM entrepreneurship, held during the LEARN 2025 conference. The intervention integrated the Maker Education–Centered Learning methodology with social innovation strategies. During the session, three functional prototypes were developed that addressed critical issues: vocational education and violence prevention, personal safety through wearables, and maternal health. The results validate that the methodology applied effectively promotes technical skills and ideation abilities in diverse contexts, aligning with SDGs 5 and 9. 10:44am - 10:52am
Intention to Use Digital Wallets Among Generation Z Youth: Trust, Ease of Use, and the Mediating Role of Perceived Usefulness 1Universidad Católica Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo - (PE); 2Universidad Tecnológica del Perú UTP - (PE); 3Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego - (PE) This study aimed to determine the effects of trust and perceived ease of use on Generation Z university students’ intention to use digital wallets, while assessing the mediating role of perceived usefulness in universities in Lambayeque, Peru. A quantitative, explanatory, non-experimental, cross-sectional design was implemented, and data were collected through an online survey between October and December 2025, yielding a final sample of 388 students. The model was estimated using PLS-SEM in SmartPLS, and the measurement model showed adequate psychometric performance (reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity). The structural model exhibited moderate explanatory power (R²=0.468 for perceived usefulness and R²=0.582 for usage intention). Findings indicated that trust and perceived ease of use had positive and significant direct effects on intention to use, and both predictors also exerted positive and significant effects on perceived usefulness. Perceived usefulness, in turn, positively influenced intention to use and produced complementary mediation for the trust→intention and ease of use→intention relationships, as indirect effects remained significant alongside direct paths. Overall, intention was explained primarily by security/credibility beliefs and low-friction user experience, strengthened by functional value appraisals. It was recommended that providers and stakeholders prioritize verifiable security and incident-response mechanisms, streamline interface flows and operational stability, and communicate tangible value (including interoperability) to sustain adoption among young users. | ||
