Comparative Spectral Study of the Performance of Two LTE Networks Using a N9342C Spectrum Analyzer and User Equipment Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras - (HN), Honduras There are three fundamental indicators used to evaluate the coverage quality and physical performance of a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network: Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP), Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ), and the Channel Power received within the LTE bandwidth. This article analyzes several practical measurement results obtained from two different LTE networks in Honduras. The analysis presents useful information, such as the RSRP and RSRQ levels for each network, with measurements taken under the same procedure to ensure comparability. Channel Power measurements were also collected using an Agilent/Keysight N9342C spectrum analyzer, employing a monopole antenna and a directional Horn antenna, while maintaining the same measurement methodology for both networks. 6:18pm - 6:26pm
Intelligent Process Engineering: BPM-BERT Model for Innovation in IT Services with a Lean Approach 1: Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas - (PE), Perú; 2: Riga Technical University - Latvia This paper presents a comprehensive proposal for operational optimization aimed at improving compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) at the service desk of Summit Consulting, a Peruvian company specialized in consulting and outsourcing in Information Technology (IT). The initial diagnosis showed an 84% SLA non-compliance rate, compared to the international standard of 95%, generating cost overruns equivalent to 3.35% of annual turnover and affecting customer satisfaction. Based on the root-cause analysis, three critical factors were identified: poor ticket management, delays in issue resolution, and operational saturation. To address these shortcomings, a hybrid model is proposed that combines service engineering methodologies with Artificial Intelligence tools to strengthen Knowledge management and promote Innovation in operational processes. Specifically, the model integrates Lean Service and Poka Yoke for the reduction of operational errors; Business Process Management (BPM) combined with BERT for automated classification and escalation; and the Holt-Winters model along with Shift Optimization to anticipate demand and improve resource allocation. The validation methodology includes operational pilots and discrete-event simulation, measuring performance indicators such as average ticket resolution time (minutes). SLA compliance is expected to rise to levels above 95%, reduce costs associated with non-compliance, and strengthen Summit Consulting’s competitiveness in the IT outsourcing market. The projected results align with international quality and service management standards such as ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 20000-1, and ITIL V4, demonstrating the potential of the proposed model as a reference for companies in the Latin American technology sector. 6:26pm - 6:34pm
Risk assessment with artificial intelligence and its impact on financial investments: A Systematic Review of the Literature. 1: Universidad Autónoma del Perú - (PE), Perú; 2: Universidad Autónoma del Perú - (PE); 3: Universidad Autónoma del Perú - (PE); 4: Universidad Autónoma del Perú - (PE); 5: Universidad de Santiago de Chile This article presents the findings of a systematic review on the application of artificial intelligence in risk assessment and its impact on financial investments during the period 2020–2025. The PICO technique and the Prisma method were used to screen the selected articles for analysis, taking into account inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results show that most of the articles address the correlational method, are recently published, and originate from Ecuador, China, and Colombia. Bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer demonstrated that both the concepts and the authors align with emerging areas of research and reflect a growing trend in the literature on this topic. It also reveals increasing academic interest in the subject since 2021, with a higher concentration of publications between 2021 and 2023, demonstrating an upward trend in the incorporation of advanced technological tools in the financial sector. It is concluded that AI in financial investments has demonstrated an impact on three factors (technical, ethical, and compliance), which are necessary for reducing uncertainty, optimizing resource allocation, and anticipating adverse events in business decisions. 6:34pm - 6:42pm
Externalized Risk Management in AI-Based Video Games: Evidence from Caregivers for Human Centered System Design Universidad Tecnológica de Honduras (HN), Honduras Video games based on artificial intelligence pose significant challenges for risk management in socio-technical systems, especially when the system design shifts control, monitoring, and decision-making functions to end users. This study analyzes parental mediation as an externalized risk management mechanism, examining how the design of AI-based video games distributes responsibility among technical controls, human intervention, and balanced use strategies. A quantitative cross-sectional design was used with a sample of 309 caregivers. Based on a structured instrument, system-level indicators were constructed to identify patterns of design externalization. The analysis included descriptive statistics, robust comparison tests, and effect size estimates to assess the stability of these patterns across contextual variables in the usage environment. The results indicate that design outsourcing patterns remain consistent regardless of family environment characteristics. Additionally, a substantial proportion of participants were unable to identify the type of video game used, suggesting a gap between the stated control mechanisms and the actual visibility of the system's operation. The findings reveal a uniform design logic that externalizes risk management to users, underscoring the need for human centered design approaches that increase the visibility, interpretability, and governance of algorithmic risks in AI-based video games. 6:42pm - 6:50pm
Deployment of a web application with Nginx on VPS: performance analysis in a digital medical records system Universidad Nacional de San Agustín de Arequipa - (PE), Perú The purpose of this study is to document and analyze the deployment of a web application for psychological medical records implemented with Nginx on a virtual private server (VPS), developed as part of the Software Engineering Project course and applied in a real environment. The methodology adopted corresponds to a descriptive study of an applied nature, in which a production environment based on decoupled client-server architecture was configured and its performance was evaluated using load tests with Apache JMeter, considering metrics such as response time, median, standard deviation, and throughput. The results showed stable response times close to 217 ms, no errors during the execution of 1000 concurrent requests, and consistent server behavior under moderate load. It is concluded that the Nginx-based configuration on VPS is a viable and controllable alternative for applied academic projects that require transferring solutions developed in the classroom to real production environments, maintaining adequate stability and performance for small and medium-scale clinical management applications. 6:50pm - 6:58pm
Mobile Application for Citizen Engagement with Urban Patrols in Cajamarca Universidad Privada del Norte - (PE), Perú pre-experimental design with pre- and post-tests, using a convenience sample of 60 participants (40 citizens and 20 patrol members). The app, developed with SCRUM, Android Studio, Kotlin, and Firebase, includes geolocation, multimedia evidence, severity classification, real-time notifications, and report tracking. The results show significant improvements: response time reduced from 45 to 15 minutes (67%), response level from 1 to 4 points, report completeness from 40% to 90%, and satisfaction from 2 to 4.2 points, with high usability confirmed by the System Usability Scale (SUS). These findings confirm the positive effect of the tool on collaborative communication, reducing traditional barriers and strengthening community safety in contexts with limited resources, accepting the alternative hypothesis and demonstrating the value of citizen-centered digital solutions for organizations such as Rondas Urbanas. | ||
