Resilience and Research Competencies in Business Students at a Private University in Lima, Peru 1: Universidad Cientifica del Sur, Perú; 2: Universidad Tecnológica del Perú UTP - (PE) The university environment demands solid research skills, a process in which resilience acts as a determining psychosocial factor. This study aimed to determine the relationship between resilience and research competencies in business students at a private university in Lima, Peru. A quantitative approach with a non-experimental-correlational design was applied to a convenience sample of 119 students. The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) and a validated research skills questionnaire were used. The findings showed a strong positive correlation (ρ = 0.758; p < 0.001). It is concluded that resilience facilitates research development by enabling students to manage the stress of the thesis process. This highlights the need to integrate socioemotional strengthening into methodological training from the early stages. | |
