Supply Chain Management and Its Relationship with Productivity in a Metal and Mineral Company in Lima, Peru Universidad Cientifica del Sur, Perú Supply chain management represents a strategic factor for organizational productivity, particularly in business contexts characterized by operational, technological, and competitive constraints. Within this framework, the objective of this study was to determine the relationship between supply chain management and staff productivity in a metal and mineral company located in Lima, Peru. The research followed a quantitative approach with a descriptive–correlational scope and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. A census sample of 39 employees was considered, and data were collected through a structured Likert-scale questionnaire, previously validated by expert judgment and reliability analysis. Since the data did not show a normal distribution, Spearman’s Rho correlation coefficient was applied to test the research hypotheses. The results reveal a direct and moderately positive relationship between supply chain management and productivity (ρ = 0.613; p < 0.05), as well as significant associations with the dimensions of efficiency, effectiveness, and efficacy. These findings confirm that adequate management of purchasing, storage, and distribution processes plays a relevant role in improving productivity, highlighting the importance of strengthening logistics practices to enhance business competitiveness. | |
