In this Work-in-progress (WIP) paper, we present the background, conceptual framework, and preliminary results of an ongoing faculty development at a Chilean regional university. The program focuses on developing innovation and research competencies among the College of Engineering faculty by forming and supporting a community of practice that brings together members with diverse expertise and experience levels.
