Modelado y análisis numérico de biosensores tipo Taper usando propagación cuántica y efecto Faraday Universidad Fidelitas, Costa Rica This work presents a theoretical and numerical analysis of taper-based optical fiber biosensors using quantum propagation models and electromagnetic phenomena associated with evanescent fields. The one-dimensional Schrödinger equation was solved using the RK4 and Crank–Nicholson methods to investigate the propagation of Gaussian wave packets. In addition, the influence of wavelength on energy distribution and evanescent magnetic field generation was evaluated through the Faraday effect. The results show variations in electromagnetic confinement and wavefront amplitude as a function of the incident laser frequency, highlighting the relationship between taper geometry and biosensor response.
