A Motivational Speech Device for Late-Talking Children Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas - (PE), Perú This work addresses the design of a motivational and playful device aimed at stimulating verbal production in children with delayed speech development. The proposal is inspired by imitation-based dynamics used by speech-language therapists and seeks to transform therapeutic exercises into an interactive experience that functions as a motivating companion during practice outside the clinical setting. The research identifies as a critical problem the severe intermittency of the Peruvian healthcare system, where service saturation limits therapy sessions to quarterly appointments, thereby delaying the child’s progress. The study is grounded in principles of user-centered design and learning psychology, integrating sensory stimuli that reinforce interest in oral communication and auditory feedback. | |
