Promoting STEM Entrepreneurship with a Gender Focus: Systematization of an Intervention Based on Maker Education 1: Universidad Bolivariana del Ecuador, Ecuador; 2: Centro de Emprendimiento, Empleabilidad y Empresas CE3 (UBE); 3: Universidad de La Guajira; 4: Institución Universitaria Ceipa - Colômbia This article presents the results of a practical workshop aimed at reducing the gender gap in STEM entrepreneurship, held during the LEARN 2025 conference. The intervention integrated the Maker Education–Centered Learning methodology with social innovation strategies. During the session, three functional prototypes were developed that addressed critical issues: vocational education and violence prevention, personal safety through wearables, and maternal health. The results validate that the methodology applied effectively promotes technical skills and ideation abilities in diverse contexts, aligning with SDGs 5 and 9. | |
