FINANCIAL INCLUSION AND PROMOTION OF SAVINGS BY INDIVIDUALS IN MUNICIPAL SAVINGS BANKS - LIMA SUR (PERU), 2022

Angela Darling Serrano-Castañeda, Miriam Adriana Barrios-Huamán, Antonio Roberto Huachaca-Urbina

Facultad de Ciencias Empresariales, Universidad Científica del Sur, Lima, Perú.

Abstract: Currently, it is understood that access to financial services is vital for global development, facilitating investment in health and business; bank accounts (savings) help families manage economic emergencies, so many people are saving to improve their quality of life or invest. The objective of this research is to determine how financial inclusion is related to the promotion of savings by individuals in Cajas Municipales, Lima Sur. Based on the general objective, this is a basic research, correlational level, non-experimental design, with a quantitative approach, using a Likert scale questionnaire, with a non-probabilistic sample of 268 people between 25 and 44 years of age in the South Lima area. The findings show the result of sig = 0.000 < 0.05 and a Spearman's Rho (0.289), a positive but weak correlation between the variables financial inclusion and savings promotion, finding an opportunity for CMACs to improve access to their service channels and create new commercial strategies to show users the attractive rates in passive products.

Artificial Intelligence in Software Code Quality: Systematic Review

Teresa Nayely Martinez Fiestas1, Enrique SANCHEZ PORTUGAL2

1Universidad Tecnológica del Perú UTP - (PE), Perú; 2Universidad Tecnológica del Perú UTP - (PE), Perú

Software development faces significant challenges in ensuring code quality, particularly due to the increasing complexity of systems. This study aimed to consolidate knowledge about the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in software code quality by identifying methods, metrics, and current challenges through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). A non-experimental, descriptive, qualitative-quantitative design was used, applying defined inclusion and exclusion criteria, and selecting 38 articles from Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) databases. The results showed that the most effective methods include machine learning, deep neural networks, and hybrid models, which excel in predicting defects and optimizing code with high precision and consistency. The predominant metrics were cyclomatic complexity, cohesion, and coupling, essential tools for assessing code clarity and maintainability. Additionally, significant advantages of AI were identified, such as defect reduction, time savings, and improved adaptability to dynamic projects.

It was concluded that AI is a powerful tool for enhancing code quality, offering effective solutions to common problems such as software defects and code complexity. This work serves as a valuable reference for researchers and professionals interested in integrating AI into development processes, contributing to advancing knowledge and strengthening practices in software engineering

Innovations and Trends in International Logistics with Artificial Intelligence in the Manufacturing Sector: A Literature Review

Cristhian Solano-Quezada, Francisco Diaz-Mujica, Orlando Iparraguirre-Villanueva

Universidad Tecnológica del Perú UTP - (PE), Perú

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a trend nowadays, being a much discussed topic in different operations of manufacturing Industries to streamline their logistics processes, being this fundamental to be able to get into the use of new application technologies to improve and boost industries 4.0. In this paper we reviewed the various innovations and trends in AI impact on international logistics in the manufacturing industry. To this end, as part of the method, 271 articles were analyzed and extracted from the most reliable databases such as Scopus, EBSCOhost, WoS and SciencieDirect, using the PRISMA methodology as a source of discarding, resulting in 59 relevant articles after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results allowed us to identify that the application of AI in manufacturing industry logistics has been studied and carried out by countries developed in technologies and automation, employing different techniques and methods to improve their logistics processes. Finally, it was concluded that the results obtained from this review are a key factor in the growth and research of new application technologies to modernize the industry towards the future and be closer to Industry 5.0 and the metaverse.

IMPACT OF AIRPORT INFRASTRUCTURE ON THE LOGISTIC PERFORMANCE OF A FOREIGN TRADE OPERATOR (CALLAO-PERU), 2023

Franco Jesus Benites-Díaz, Karen Rosario Silvera-Huánuco, Aracely Cinthia Torres-Gutarra, Hugo Jesús Salas-Canales

Universidad Científica del Sur, Lima, Perú

The primary objective of this research was to determine the impact of airport infrastructure on the logistic performance of a specific foreign trade operator in Callao (Peru). The methodology chosen was non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational-causal, with a quantitative approach. The study was conducted with employees from the Platform Operations Area of the foreign trade operator in question, selecting a sample of 100 participants. The findings demonstrated that airport infrastructure exerts a direct and significant effect on the logistic efficiency of the foreign trade operator studied, thus corroborating the proposed alternative hypothesis. This effect was confirmed by a Nagelkerke coefficient of 0.903 (90.3%).

Environmental pollution represents a significant global challenge, with adverse effects on human health and ecological systems. Despite the existence of the PIGARS (Provincial Plan for Comprehensive Solid Waste Management), solid waste management in Ica City is inadequate. This results in the accumulation of garbage and the emergence of sanitary problems. The objective of this review article, which was carried out using the PRISMA methodology, is to analyze the various implementations of intelligent waste management systems using IoT's and to evaluate their impact on the efficiency of waste collection and their potential for sustainability depending on where it’s implemented. A database search was conducted in Scopus, limiting the results to a maximum of five years old. A total of 23 articles were selected based on a pre-established criteria and classified into four categories: technological innovation, challenges and limitations and route optimization, sustainability. From the analysis it was observed that IoT-based solutions, such as smart containers and optimization of collection routes, can significantly improve efficiency and are sustainable in the long term to be implemented, however, challenges were identified such as initial costs and the necessary infrastructure for cities that do not have a certain level of technology

IMPACT OF STAFF TRAINING ON LABOR PRODUCTIVITY IN THE OPERATIONAL AREA OF A MINING COMPANY (PASCO-PERU), 2023

Maribel Yeny Castillo-Alvarez, Rossio del Pilar Vidal-Alvarez, Hugo Jesús Salas-Canales

Universidad Científica del Sur, Lima, Perú

In a context where operational efficiency is a crucial factor for the success of mining companies, this research aimed to analyze the direct impact of staff training on the increase in labor productivity within the operational area of a mining company located in Pasco (Peru). Through a quantitative and non-experimental research design, the study sought to establish a causal relationship between these two variables. The results obtained were compelling; the statistical analysis, supported by a Nagelkerke coefficient of 0.896, revealed a highly significant causality between training initiatives and the increase in labor productivity. This finding indicates that 89.6% of the variability in productivity can be attributed to the implemented training actions. In other words, training emerged as a determining factor in improving employee performance and, consequently, in increasing the company's production. These results not only confirm the research hypothesis but also provide solid empirical evidence regarding the importance of investing in human capital development within the mining sector. By training their personnel, companies not only increase their productivity in the short term but also strengthen their long-term competitiveness by having a more skilled and motivated workforce.
