Innovation in Cleaning Tools: User-Centered Design for Waste Separation Using Design Thinking, the Kano Model, and AHP Universidad Privada el Norte, Perú Street vending is a key economic activity and an ideal setting for implementing sustainable solutions. This study evaluates the satisfaction of street vendors in Metropolitan Lima who use cleaning tools for waste management in food vending areas. Issues related to transportation, storage, and waste separation were identified, impacting hygiene, efficiency, and recycling. To address these challenges, Design Thinking, the Kano model, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) were applied in the development of an innovative broom and dustpan set, tailored to users' needs. A survey revealed that 70% of respondents were dissatisfied, highlighting compactibility, easy assembly, and improved storage as valued attributes. The Kano model classified storage, portability, and practicality as attractive attributes, while separation, hygiene, and usability were considered mandatory. The AHP method confirmed that separation, recycling, and hygiene are key priorities in the product design. Prototype testing and refinement demonstrated that combining these methodologies enabled a comprehensive evaluation, resulting in a functional, adaptable, and sustainable product. This design enhances waste management and hygiene in vending stalls and can be applied to other informal trade contexts, fostering more sustainable practices in urban environments. 3:48pm - 3:56pm
Technological Innovation and Business Competitiveness in Peruvian Microenterprises: An Empirical Analysis from a Regional Perspective 1Universidad Tecnológica del Perú S.A.C., Perú; 2Universidad Nacional Intercultural de la Selva Central Juan Santos Atahualpa - (PE); 3Universidad Continental - (PE); 4Universidad Nacional Daniel Alcides Carrión - (PE) This study analyzes the relationship between technological innovation and business competitiveness in microenterprises in the central region of Peru. It is based on the premise that the incorporation of technologies, the provision of qualified human resources and the implementation of quality control systems are key factors to improve the performance of these organizations in a challenging environment. The data were analyzed using inferential statistics, specifically multiple linear regression, to evaluate the impact of the dimensions of technological innovation on business competitiveness. The results reveal that the adoption of new technologies is a key determinant of productivity and product quality, suggesting the need for business strategies aimed at digitalization. Furthermore, a positive and significant impact of human resource provision (0.240 to 0.264, p < 0.001), quality control systems (0.259 to 0.309, p < 0.001) and information and communication technologies (0.283 to 0.310, p < 0.001) on product quality, productivity and performance was identified. performance in the market. It was also confirmed that companies that invest in the training of their human capital and in the implementation of quality standards achieve a better competitive positioning. The model specification analyzes ensure the validity of the findings, by not presenting problems of heteroskedasticity, autocorrelation or specification errors. This study not only contributes to academic development on the competitiveness of microenterprises in regional contexts, but also offers an empirical basis for the formulation of business strategies and public policies that promote the sustainability and growth of the sector in the central region of Peru 3:56pm - 4:04pm
Technological Information Management in Operational Processes for a Transportation Sector Company Universidad Privada del Norte - (PE), Perú Information Technology Management as a Proposal for Implementation in the Operational Processes in the Transportation Sector in Trujillo, Peru. This study is framed within a research approach that utilizes quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, such as surveys, observation sheets, and interviews. The proposal focuses on developing a website aimed at modernizing and optimizing the key processes: ticket sales, parcel management, and customer service. The main objective is to improve operational efficiency, enhance the customer experience, reduce processing times and errors, and strengthen the company's competitiveness in the market. The results demonstrate that the implementation of Information Technology Management contributed significantly to productivity, recording an increase of 67.10%. Moreover, user satisfaction increased by 28.9% following the incorporation of the website, with the implementation of an information system being rated as highly profitable, highlighting that it could automate up to 80% of the operational processes. Additionally, a post-implementation revenue comparison was calculated, obtaining a margin of +27.78%, which confirms the project's long-term profitability. The article covers the following sections: introduction, state of the art, objectives, materials and methods, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusions. 4:04pm - 4:12pm
Implementation of digital marketing strategies to increase sales in a company in the footwear sector Universidad Privada del Norte - (PE), Perú This research focused on implementing digital marketing strategies to increase sales in a company in the footwear sector. A mixed approach was adopted, combining quantitative and qualitative data analysis to assess the current situation of the company and a type of pre-experimental design due to the limited control of the variables. The population studied included the 21 models of PVC soles that the company sells, selecting a sample comprised of the best-selling soles: pibe 2, pibe 3, sneaker and carousel. Interviews, observation sheets, sales reports and Meta Facebook posts were used to collect data. The procedure included an exhaustive analysis of the sales area, the formulation, justification and development of each marketing strategy proposal, evaluating sales levels before and after its implementation. The results revealed a significant increase in sales of 126%, doubling the number of transactions from the previous period and increasing the average sales level by 14%. These findings confirmed the effectiveness of the strategies applied, highlighting the good acceptance and adoption of digital media by its customers and the increase in orders. 4:12pm - 4:20pm
Incidence of Operating Costs on the Profitability of an Agro-industrial Company 2021-2023 Universidad Tecnológica del Perú UTP - (PE), Perú This study evaluates the impact of operating costs on the profitability of a Peruvian agribusiness company supervised by the Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores (SMV) between 2021 and 2023. In a context of high economic and climatic volatility, sales, administrative and sales costs are analyzed in relation to key indicators such as ROA, ROE, operating margin and net margin, using a quantitative approach and Spearman's Rho coefficient. The results reveal a strong positive correlation between operating costs and profitability (0.782, p < 0.05). The cost of sales significantly impacts ROA and ROE (0.731, p < 0.01), evidencing its role in resource efficiency and returns to shareholders. Administrative expenses show a moderate correlation with operating margin (0.594, p < 0.05), while selling expenses have no significant impact on net margin. The study concludes that efficient management of operating costs is essential to optimize profitability, strengthening the financial sustainability and competitiveness of agribusiness companies in the face of environmental challenges 4:20pm - 4:28pm
Improvements in Occupational Safety and Health for the Reduction of Workplace Risks in a Construction Sector Company, Cajamarca - 2025 Universidad Privada del Norte, Perú This research designed and evaluated an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS), based on the regulations of law 29783, with the purpose of optimizing organizational performance and mitigating occupational risks in an industrial services company. For this, a descriptive, quantitative, and proactive approach was adopted, supported by diagnostic tools such as the IPERC matrix and the Ishikawa diagram, which evidenced a 22% compliance level with current occupational health and safety legislation, revealing an incipient safety culture and deficiencies in integrated risk management. This analysis allowed for the identification of physical and chemical hazards as critical factors, leading to the implementation of corrective measures—including systematic training programs, provision of personal protective equipment, and the establishment of a safety committee—aimed at strengthening incident prevention and enhancing the management's commitment to occupational health. Complementary tools such as FMEA and artificial intelligence were also applied to expand the range of analysis. Finally, it was concluded that a health and safety management system, based on law 29783 and supplemented with cutting-edge technological tools, could reduce occupational risks 4:28pm - 4:36pm
