Universidad Tecnológica del Perú UTP - (PE), Perú

Logistics management is essential for export companies, especially in important sectors such as the coffee industry in Peru; however, despite its influence, there are few updated studies that analyze how coffee companies manage logistics in strategic regions such as es Jaén, therefore, this study aims to analyze logistics management in these companies, addressing three key aspects: inbound logistics, internal logistics and outbound logistics, providing a theoretical and practical contribution to the sector. The research was developed under a quantitative approach, using a non-experimental and cross-sectional design, for data collection, a questionnaire of 18 questions was used, each related to a specific phase of logistics management and validated by experts in the field. area. The questionnaire was applied to 21 coffee companies in Jaén, and subsequently, the results were analyzed with the SPSS statistical software, thus revealing a high reliability of the instrument, with a value of 0.822, which demonstrates the internal consistency of the results obtained, in Since the findings indicated that, in general, the companies evaluated have efficient logistics management, however, critical areas were identified, such as storage, internal transportation, packaging and documentation, improving these processes would contribute to increasing efficiency in the use of time and resources, which in turn would strengthen the competitiveness of these companies in the international market.

Abstract – This research follows the guidelines of SDG 15 (Sustainable Development Goal 15): Life on Land, contributing to the fight against desertification, drought, and the rehabilitation of degraded lands and soils. The objective was to evaluate the alterations in the physicochemical properties of agricultural soils due to the infiltration and use of wastewater from a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). For this purpose, 32 soil samples were collected from two different zones: Zone A (agricultural soil affected by wastewater infiltration from the Covicorti WWTP) and Zone B (clean soil with no presence of wastewater located in the Barraza district, Laredo). The calicata technique was used to collect samples at a depth of 30 cm, which were later analyzed in the laboratory to determine various parameters such as density, moisture, pH, electrical conductivity, organic matter, and salinity. The results showed that the soils in Zone A are not suitable for agricultural activities, as they exceed the Maximum Permissible Limits (MPL), while the soils in Zone B exhibit better quality, aligned with reference values.

Coffee is one of the most important products in Honduras for the national economy and for many families in particular. The objective of this research is to analyze the critical factors that affect the sustainability of smallholder coffee farms and their impact on the coffee value chain in the municipality of San José de Colinas, Santa Barbara, Honduras. A mixed methodological design was used. A questionnaire was applied to a sample of 124 producers in 24 villages selected from a population of 929 producers in the municipality. Descriptive statistics were used for the analysis and interpretation.Among the main results, in environmental terms, 61.6% of the producers practice shade management, which contributes to the conservation of the forest; 71.8% have been affected by pests and diseases. 71.2% expressed that the lack of labor is a critical problem. Economically, there is dissatisfaction among the producers with the price; 45.9% consider that it is not profitable. Some 77.5% of producers find it difficult to market their coffee at fair prices. Only 13.7% believe that financing policies are effective. In conclusion, the coffee activity in the municipality is threatened by the evaluated factors that put its long-term sustainability at risk. It requires immediate attention from the Central Government and the institutions that manage the coffee sector with effective policies that ensure the sustainability of coffee farms and strengthen the participation of small producers in the coffee value chain.

The objective of this study was to analyze the diversification and revealed comparative advantage of global strawberry exports during the period 2019–2023. A quantitative methodology was employed, consisting of the collection and processing of export data obtained from Trade Map and the UN Comtrade Data Base, utilizing the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index to measure market concentration and the Balassa Index to assess the revealed comparative advantage. The results indicated that while Mexico exhibited a high concentration, relying almost exclusively on the United States market, Spain demonstrated a moderate dispersion by alternating between destinations such as Germany, the United Kingdom, and France. In contrast, the United States displayed a balanced distribution among its main destinations, and the Netherlands, together with Belgium, manifested intermediate patterns, albeit with some volatility in their competitive indicators. It was concluded that an excessive dependency on one or a few destinations generated vulnerabilities in the face of international fluctuations, as opposed to the stability derived from adequate diversification. Consequently, it was recommended that trade authorities and strategic stakeholders implement policies aimed at gradually opening new markets, strengthening the product’s image, and adopting technological innovations to mitigate risks and foster sustainable growth in the agro-export sector.

The general objective of the research was to establish the relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the competitiveness of an agro-exporting company in Piura in the year 2024. A quantitative approach was used, applied type, correlational level, non-experimental and cross-sectional design; a survey was conducted using a questionnaire as an instrument to the final population of 52 workers of the company. The results indicated a moderate and statistically significant positive correlation between the CSR and competitiveness variables, with a Spearman's Rho coefficient of 0.640, with a bilateral significance of less than 0.001. Thus, it was concluded that, as CSR practices increased in the economic, social and environmental areas, the company's competitiveness also increased, although not proportionally.

The main objective of this research is to identify the relationship between the supply chain and agro-export in an agricultural company. The methodology used is applied, with a quantitative approach, using the hypothetical-deductive method and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The results indicate that optimized management at each stage of the supply chain contributes significantly to export success. A moderate positive relationship was found between procurement, production, distribution and agroexport, with a particularly strong impact on the distribution phase. This finding suggests that improving logistics, reducing delivery times and optimizing the distribution chain increases a company's competitiveness in international markets. The research concludes that an efficient supply chain is key to sustainability and growth in the agroexport sector, recommending that the company focus on implementing logistics management technologies and training its personnel to improve processes and respond to the demands of the global market.
