Training proposal in the San Isidro El Labrador Agricultural Producers Association for its internationalization - Malingas, Tambogrande, Piura, 2024.

Ashly Valeria Nieves Alvarado, Danitza Marilú Giron Rugel

Universidad Tecnológica del Perú UTP - (PE), Perú

The research focuses on the proposal for training for the San Isidro El Labrador Agricultural Producers Association (APASEL) in Malingas, Tambogrande, Piura, with the goal of internationalizing their agricultural products. Significant gaps were identified in knowledge of customs procedures, documentary regulations, and international market preferences. Producers face barriers such as lack of certifications, lack of knowledge about procedures, and the absence of strategies for international marketing and logistics. The descriptive qualitative methodology includes interviews to identify needs. A training program is proposed to address these gaps, improve competitiveness, and facilitate access to global markets by strengthening technical, financial, and promotional aspects.

Improvement of the spreading process in a textile company applying SLP, 5S and standardized work

Richard Nicholas Meza Ortiz, Alvaro Sebastian Becker Arias, Daniel Jesús Vasquez Neyra

Universidad de Lima, Perú

The textile and apparel sector in Peru accounted for approximately 1% of the national GDP in 2023, contributing between 4 and 5 billion dollars annually and generating around 400,000 jobs, with the majority of its revenue coming from exports. Given the sector's growth potential, the main objective of this study is to propose an improvement of the spreading area in a Peruvian textile company through the implementation of the 5S methodology, standardized work, and Systematic Layout Planning (SLP). The validation of these methods was based on pilot tests and two simulation models developed using Arena and FlexSim. The results showed an improvement in capacity
utilization, achieved through a 40.62% reduction in scheduling errors via standardized work, a 49-second reduction in raw travel time, and a significant improvement in the maintenance area, doubling its 5S methodology indicators. The findings highlight the potential for substantial improvements in operational efficiency, with positive implications for productivity, economic performance, and the competitiveness of the sector.

AUGUSTO VELASQUEZ MENDEZ1, JORGE DE JESUS LOZOYA SANTOS2, JOSE FERNANDO JIMENEZ VARGAS1

1Universidad de Los Andes - UNIANDES - (CO); 2Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey - Campus Monterrey

Urban Living Labs (ULLs) are pivotal frameworks for fostering socio-technical innovation in smart cities, addressing urban challenges through collaborative and adaptive solutions. This study introduces a socio-technical innovation management model that integrates community engagement, governance structures, and technological tools within ULL environments. By leveraging participatory processes and iterative testing, the model enhances the contextual relevance and scalability of smart city innovations. Focusing on the Fenicia Urban Living Lab in Bogotá, Colombia, the study explores the application of a digital twin platform to tackle urban challenges in waste, energy, and information management. To enhance stakeholder alignment, the model employs structured co-creation methodologies, multi-stakeholder governance frameworks, and data-driven decision-making, fostering collaboration among academia, industry, government, and local communities.

Comparisons with global ULL practices underline the model’s adaptability across diverse urban settings. While demonstrating its potential, the study identifies challenges such as digital infrastructure limitations in developing regions. The findings contribute to the broader discourse on sustainable urban development, proposing actionable strategies for inclusive and resilient cities. This research establishes a foundation for scaling ULL methodologies and evaluating their long-term socio-environmental impacts.

This study provides valuable information about the relationship between occupational safety and health management and job performance at Que Tal Compra del Perú S.A.C., a Peruvian e-commerce company, in Lima, in 2024. The primary objective was to evaluate how managing occupational safety and health impacts employee performance. Adopting a quantitative approach, this basic, correlational, non-experimental cross-sectional study examined a sample of 136 employees selected through probabilistic sampling. A survey served as the data collection technique, and a questionnaire validated by experts was the instrument. Reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha, yielding acceptable results for both variables. Findings revealed a moderate positive correlation (Spearman's rho = 0.475, p < 0.001), suggesting that effective management in these areas significantly enhances employee performance. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of strengthening occupational safety and health practices to optimize job performance and recommends implementing effective prevention and training policies.

This research, aligned with ODS N° 8: Decent work and economic growth, had the general objective of determining the relationship between knowledge management and innovation in a company with organic banana export potential in Sullana, Peru, during the period 2024 - II. The specific objectives focused on identifying the relationship between knowledge management and the product/service, process, commercial and organizational dimensions of innovation. This is an applied research with a quantitative approach, correlational type and with a non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The study population was 70 employees of the company, from which a census sample of 40 was selected. The results indicated that there is no significant relationship between knowledge management and innovation in the company studied. Although a high level of knowledge management is perceived, it does not translate into a greater capacity for innovation. It is concluded that knowledge management in the company is not yet applied in a strategic way to drive innovation.
