Propensity for the transition towards Education 5.0 in the training of engineers. Case Study in Mexico. Tecnológico Nacional de México/ TES Cuautitlán Izcalli, México The industry is rapidly changing from a 4.0 phase to a 5.0 phase, more focused on the development of people who form a 5.0 society. Generating this type of society implies preparing institutions that train professionals with a 5.0 Education. The objective of this research is to determine the level of propensity of teachers and students of the Technological Institute of Higher Studies of Cuautitlán Izcalli, to use emerging technological tools as well as collaborative work in the appropriate context to implement Education 5.0 in the academic plans for the training of engineers that it currently provides, and with an orientation to comply with the pedagogical bases of the New Mexican School. The results show that teachers do use digital platforms within their teaching process and that students do know how to use these technologies, although they do not use them extensively in their learning process. The proposal is the inclusion of a didactic that involves dialectical teaching-learning techniques, situated in their community, generating critical thinking and the necessary skills to work collaboratively. 8:02am - 8:14am
Industry 5.0 oriented rotating forklift prototype for inventory handling Universidad Militar Nueva Granada - (CO), Colombia The following document presents the design of a scale prototype of an automatic rotating forklift for handling boxes of inventory. The design starts from the CAD model and its subsequent 3D printing, which allowed its assembly with the necessary electronics and using an STM32 microcontroller card. An App for cell phone is designed through Bluetooth Electronics that allows controlling the servomotors of the box handling module, which includes the rotation option, and the displacement motors. It is possible to validate the effectiveness of the module when used from the cell phone to grip and transport boxes, as well as the programming of an automatic routine that allows it to operate autonomously in a future work. 8:14am - 8:26am
IoT-Based System for Logistics Monitoring and Analysis in Delivery Trucks 1Universidad Tecnológica de El Salvador, El Salvador; 2Smartmetrics, El Salvador This paper presents the design, implementation and testing of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system for monitoring and analyzing logistics in delivery trucks, with case studies conducted in Santa Ana, El Salvador. The proposed system collects real-time data on geographical position, travel time and vehicle performance, thereby providing a baseline dataset for logistical optimization. The IoT system comprises a multi-layer architectural structure, which includes physical, communication, processing, and presentation layers. The system incorporates several key components, including the ESP32 microcontroller, the SIM7000G module for GSM and GPS connectivity and a solar-powered energy management system. The data collected by the IoT nodes are transmitted via a mobile network to an IoT cloud platform, enabling real-time visualization and historical data analysis through an intuitive web interface. The results demonstrate the system's reliability and efficiency, achieving precise geolocation with minimal latency and uninterrupted operation due to effective energy management. Analyzing the collected data can identify patterns in delivery routes, travel times, and bottlenecks, facilitating actionable insights to optimize logistics operations. 8:26am - 8:38am
CURRENT SITUATION OF JOB BURNOUT AND LEADERSHIP STYLES IN MANUFACTURING COMPANY MANAGERS IN CORTÉS, HONDURAS Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana (UNITEC), San Pedro Sula, Honduras The objective of this research was to compare the level of job burnout of the leaders of manufacturing companies in Cortes, Honduras according to their personality style. Therefore, it was carried out using a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational scope, a non-experimental-cross-sectional design, applying a survey to which two instruments were integrated: Maslach's Burnout Inventory and the DISC test of leadership styles. According to the results, it was shown that Burnout syndrome affects managerial profiles presenting a medium level in characteristics and symptomatology (54% of the sample) and 38% present a high level, proving to be a health risk. As for the leadership profile according to the DISC dimensions, managers showed on average greater characteristics linked to the dominant and controlling style; on the other hand, the style of strength and influence reflect a lower level in the behaviors expressed. When assessing the relationships between Burnout and leadership styles, it was shown that the dimensions of the dominant and solid personality show a statistically significant association with the prevalence of job burnout (r=0.628 and r=-0.432 respectively). This reflects that managers whose behavioral characteristics are linked to a greater need to direct, control, take risks and less need to serve, being optimistic, calm and patient will be more likely to manifest symptoms linked to Burnout. 8:38am - 8:50am
University Capabilities for Innovation and Technology Transfer in the Coffee Sector: An Evaluation Index for Colombia's Coffee Axis 1Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira - (CO), Colombia; 2LACCEI; 3Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras - (HN) This study proposes and applies an Institutional Capability Index to assess the maturity level of research, development, innovation, and entrepreneurship (R&D+i+e) in universities within Colombia’s Coffee Axis, specifically in relation to their potential to drive technological transformation in the coffee sector. The index integrates five key dimensions: economic capacity, legal agility, scientific and technological output, human resources with scientific impact, and entrepreneurship. Grounded in theoretical models such as capability gap analysis, economic complexity, and the triple helix, the analysis enables quantification of universities' contributions to regional innovation processes. |
