Design of a Project Management Office (PMO) for MS4M SAC Universidad de Piura, Perú The main objective of this work is to make a design proposal for a Project Management Office (PMO) for the company MS4M SAC, based on the Project Management Institute (PMI) reference framework. To achieve this objective, a diagnosis of the maturity of the company's project management has been carried out using the OPM3 model, which allowed the identification of gaps and weaknesses in current processes. The diagnosis was carried out through interviews and questionnaires aimed at the main collaborators of MS4M, analyzing the capabilities and areas of improvement in project management. Based on the results obtained, a PMO proposal was designed that includes the strategic definition, the organizational structure, the specific functions, and the evaluation of technological tools that allow for effective project management. The proposal seeks to improve MS4M's capacity in project management, standardizing processes, optimizing the use of resources and aligning activities with the company's strategic objectives. Finally, a budget is estimated for the implementation and execution of the PMO, considering the necessary human, technological and financial resources. 12:16 - 12:24
Development and Evaluation of a Quinoa Yogurt Production Process: Impact of Temperature Control on Its Organoleptic, Physicochemical, and Microbiological Characteristics Universidad Tecnológica del Perú UTP - (PE), Perú The global increase in demand for products derived from plant-based beverages has driven the development of alternatives such as quinoa yogurt. Despite previous research attempts to produce this type of yogurt, the processes used did not achieve the desired characteristics. In this study, a new process for making quinoa yogurt was developed, with an emphasis on temperature control during fermentation to improve its characteristics. The objective was to evaluate parameters such as pH, organoleptic, physicochemical, and microbiological characteristics. The process, which lasted a total of 37 hours, included stages of soaking, fermentation, and cooling. During fermentation, temperature was controlled, which influenced the acidity and preservation of the yogurt. It was observed that the average pH of the samples exceeded 3.55, indicating good acidity control. In terms of sensory evaluation, consumers did not disapprove of the yogurt, highlighting its odor and color, although some suggested a firmer texture. Microbiological analyses showed that the development of probiotic strains and mold formation met the normative parameters, while physicochemical analyses revealed a lower protein content compared to dairy yogurt, but with a lower fat content. In summary, the quinoa yogurt produced by this process presented acceptable organoleptic characteristics and met microbiological standards. 12:24 - 12:32
Practical guide for early contractor integration into the design using Value Engineering to reduce RFI’s during construction. Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas - (PE), Perú The growing demand for multifamily housing projects highlights the importance of ensuring greater competitiveness in their execution. Requests for information (RFI) are one of the main causes of delays and cost overruns, as they reflect initial design deficiencies and coordination problems. This research proposes a practical guide for the early integration of contractors in the design phase, with a Value Engineering (VE) approach, to reduce the emission of RFI's in construction. The methodology includes: (A) analysis of RFI's in three projects to identify causes and impact; (B) development of the guide; (C) general process of the practical guide; (D) validation with contractors in two projects; and (E) final evaluation through expert surveys. The results show that the application of the guide reduces RFIs by more than 50% in construction, improves coordination between designers and contractors, and optimizes design. Its effectiveness has been validated using Aiken's V coefficient, with positive results for the VE approach. Model to Optimize ROA in Pharmaceutical SMEs Using DMAIC, ABC Method, Dynamic Pricing, and Digital Transformation Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas, Perú In a dynamic market environment, pharmaceutical product distributors face significant challenges in managing their costs and asset turnover, resulting in low return on assets (ROA). Cost optimization and inventory management are crucial for improving profitability and competitiveness in the market. Recent research has shown that large companies implementing digital transformation, DMAIC, and dynamic pricing have successfully reduced costs and improved inventory turnover. However, Peruvian SMEs have not widely adopted these tools. This research proposes applying the DMAIC methodology, ABC method, dynamic pricing, and digital transformation in pharmaceutical distribution SMEs, adapting these strategies to their specific needs. The five phases of DMAIC, the ABC method for categorization, a dynamic pricing system, and digital transformation were implemented in a pharmaceutical distribution SME. Data was collected before and after implementation to measure the impact on costs, inventory turnover, and return on assets (ROA). The results showed a significant 12% reduction in operating costs, an 80% increase in ROA, a 120% improvement in inventory turnover, and optimization in sales pricing. The application of this methodology in pharmaceutical distribution SMEs can significantly enhance return on assets, confirming the feasibility and benefits of these tools in the context of small and medium-sized enterprises. 12:40 - 12:48
Prevention of Accidents by Rockfall Applying the Deming Cycle Methodology in an Iron Oxide Copper Gold Deposit Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas, Perú Incidents in underground mining, especially those related to rockfall, represent a critical problem affecting both worker safety and operational continuity. In Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) deposits, where geological and structural characteristics can increase the risk of rock detachment, having a solid risk management strategy is crucial. The Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle methodology serves as an effective tool to identify, assess, and mitigate these risks. This research aims to reduce the frequency of accidents caused by rockfall in IOCG deposits by implementing an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) based on the PDCA cycle. To achieve this, a comprehensive analysis of incidents over the past five years in critical areas will be conducted, classifying them by risk level using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRAC) system. Based on these results, specific control measures will be proposed to improve safety conditions and prevent accidents, ensuring a safer and more efficient working environment. |
