Power industry is undergoing remarkable transitions driven mainly by decarbonization and the resulting intensified electrification and grid modernization. The need for a qualified workforce for tackling these challenges has been pointed out as top priority by major power industry professionals. This Workforce panel comprised of academia and industry leaders will discuss the challenges, internship/full time positions for power engineers, and ideas for collaboration between academia, industry, and IEEE. Each person will give a 10-minute presentation, and this will be followed by audience Q&A, and discussion.
