Attachment and ADHD: how are they related?

ADHD is highly prevalent and impairing in several domains of functioning. Although children with ADHD are likely to be insecurely attached, there is very little research on attachment in ADHD nor are there theoretical frameworks that try to explain this overlap. This talk gives an overview on the research to date on attachment in ADHD and describes a theoretical model why attachment and ADHD are related.
