Description

This interactive workshop introduces Open Educational Resources (OER) with a focus on practical application in geosciences and geography education. Hosted by Dr. des. Nancy Walter (University of Potsdam, Co-WOERK) and Dr. David Stöllger (twillo), the session brings together two OER initiatives: Co-WOERK, which builds cross-institutional communities for OER, and twillo, the official OER platform of Lower Saxony offering legal, technical, and didactic support.

Participants will receive a brief introduction to the principles of OER (including licensing ) and will then be guided through the twillo publishing workflow — from preparing materials to making them openly accessible. To benefit fully, participants are encouraged to bring teaching materials they are interested in sharing.

The session concludes with a discussion on how to foster a Community of Practice within the geosciences, strengthening collaboration and visibility for open teaching.

Important information: The workshop will be held in German.

Speaker: Dr. David Stöllger from Twillo
