This study explores how learners perceive geometric structures and spatial relationships in VR, AR, and 2D environments. In a first pilot study with university students (N=2), reaction time and accuracy were higher in VR than in 2D. Building on a spatial ability framework, additional tasks for AR and extrinsic spatial judgments were developed for a second pilot study. The results may serve as a reference for designing VR/AR-supported geometry learning.
