Designing Assumption-Eliciting Probability Tasks Based on Probabilistic Environments UNIVERSITY OF FUKUI, Japan Many probability tasks fix assumptions and expect one numerical answer, yet classrooms often yield multiple answers. After ten heads, for example, some expect tails and others suspect bias—typically marked wrong. Viewing judgment as adaptation, these responses reflect premise completion under uncertainty. We therefore propose assumption-eliciting tasks that prompt learners to state and compare assumptions. | ||
