Religious medical heritage in Leuven

The Catholic University of Leuven (KULeuven) was founded almost 600 years ago (1425) and left religious medical heritage in the city of Leuven, the medical faculty being one of the first schools. Some buildings are recently demolished (chapel of the nursing school at Capucijnenvoer), some are in bad condition (anatomical theater at the corner of the Capucijnenvoer - Minderbroederstraat), some are awaiting restoration (anatomical theater & medical auditoria at Minderbroedestraat) and some are well preserved (Romaanse Poort at Brusselsestraat).
Besides this real estate heritage, a rich collection of medical objects is spread all over the city: written documents in the central library of the university at Ladeuzeplein (Andreas Vesalius), paintings at the Museum M & the Saint Peters church (Dirk Bouts) and a vast collection of medical objects at HistArUz museum (actually closed) including a large collection of dentistry and pharmacy.
Because a visit to the localities in group is not possible at the moment, a round table will be organized during the meeting where images will be shown of the demolished chapel (historical lead in glass) to enhance a discussion about the conservation/restauration of religious medical heritage.
