This Conversation is part of a programme of workshops and other events running throughout 2022 that are intended galvanise and strengthen the Design Re-search community. In this Conversation we seek to understand how we can best communicate the value of Design Research. To explore this challenge will con-sider strategies for balancing a clear representation of the diversity of what is encompassed by the term Design Research, with the need to be concise and clear. The Conversation will revolve around the hypothetical content for an in-troduction to Design Research in a generic qualitative research methods text-book. If such a book section existed, what would we need to say to communicate the value of Design Research accurately, clearly, and concisely?
