Based on the recently published "Palgrave Handbook of Cross-border Journalism", the panelists will discuss the main trends that characterize cross-border journalism and the challenges for cross-border journalism research. Building on this, the panelists outline an agenda on which we should focus in the coming years when researching cross-border journalism. In this context, they also discuss which methods should be used when researching cross-border journalism, especially in light of the increasing automation and algorithmization of journalistic work processes. At the end, participants will have the chance to win a printed copy of the "Palgrave Handbook of Cross-border Journalism".
